Product Description

The Variation of Current through Resistor Model is a comprehensive and visually intuitive physics teaching aid designed to demonstrate how electric current varies when different resistors are connected in a circuit at a constant voltage. This model enables students to practically observe and verify Ohm's Law and understand the relationship between resistance and current using three independent resistor circuits, each with a built-in LED indicator lamp that visually shows the variation in current intensity through brightness difference.

Mounted on a sturdy blue acrylic base, the apparatus features three independent circuit stations, each comprising a pair of red banana plug terminals, a colour-coded measurement socket (Green, Yellow, and another colour for R1, R2, R3), a resistor component connected between terminals via blue wire leads, and a chrome-dome LED bulb at the front of each station. A black terminal and 2V input label are provided for the common power supply connection. When the same voltage (2V) is applied across resistors of different values, the LED brightness visually indicates the varying current demonstrating that higher resistance = lower current = dimmer light.
